The Children's Hospital & Medical Center Health Information Management/Medical Records Department provides direct customer service for the areas of:
- Release of Information for parents/patients and others (402) 955-3800.
- Record Completion support for physicians (402) 955-3807.
- User support for the Eclipsys and Transcription system.
Our team is responsible for collection of patient care documentation from the treatment units; Organizing, scanning, and indexing this information into the electronic record system; Identification of any documentation deficiencies, such as signatures; Assignment of diagnostic and procedure codes for data collection and billing; Abstraction of specific data for use in research and reporting; Monitoring of distribution of information, such as transcribed documents; Assistance in achieving compliance with Joint Commission and regulatory standards.
